AEVTSA Holds Third Knowledge Empowerment Session on the Future of EV Batteries
The Electric Vehicle Technologies Association held the third session of its “EV Knowledge Empowerment Series” on July 29, 2026, titled “The Future of Electric Vehicle Batteries: Where Is It Heading?” as part of the Association’s efforts to disseminate specialized knowledge and raise awareness of emerging electric vehicle technologies.
The session was presented by Eng. Hind Al-Omari, a Chemical Engineer and Associate Member of the Electric Vehicle Technologies Association.
The session provided an overview of electric vehicle batteries and the technologies currently used in them, while highlighting key technical challenges facing battery development, next-generation battery technologies, and emerging innovation trends.
It also explored the future of EV batteries and promising opportunities in Saudi Arabia, including technological developments that could contribute to improved battery performance and efficiency and support the future expansion of electric mobility.
The session aimed to introduce participants to current EV battery technologies, highlight major technical challenges, explore next-generation battery technologies and innovation trends, and provide insights into the future of EV batteries and related opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
The event attracted 93 participants, including engineers, students, technicians, government-sector representatives, and other interested participants from different regions of Saudi Arabia, reflecting growing interest in the series and the future of electric vehicle technologies.
The third session continues the Association’s efforts to establish a specialized knowledge platform that connects experts and interested communities, enables students and engineers to understand rapid developments in the electric vehicle sector, and contributes to knowledge development, innovation, and national capability building.
