AEVTSA Holds Fifth Knowledge Empowerment Session on National Efforts in the Electric Vehicle Sector
The Electric Vehicle Technologies Association held the fifth session of its “EV Knowledge Empowerment Series” on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, titled “National Efforts in the Electric Vehicle Sector,” presented by Eng. Awad Manadi Al-Enezi, an engineer and researcher in renewable energy and electric vehicles.
The session explored Saudi Arabia’s national direction toward electric vehicles within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, including the manufacturing and investment ecosystem, prominent national companies and projects, as well as the development of EV charging infrastructure and charging networks across the Kingdom.
The session also addressed relevant regulations, standards, regulatory bodies, and the roles of key stakeholders, in addition to future opportunities in technology, investment, employment, and entrepreneurship.
The session aimed to introduce participants to the growing momentum of Saudi Arabia’s electric vehicle sector, highlight major initiatives, projects, and investments, explain the complementary roles of government, private, and nonprofit entities, and raise awareness of future opportunities across the electric vehicle and charging value chain.
The event attracted 68 participants, reflecting growing interest in Saudi Arabia’s national EV initiatives and the future development of the sector.
This session forms part of the Association’s efforts to disseminate specialized knowledge, increase awareness of national developments in electric mobility, and empower students, researchers, and interested professionals to explore opportunities and initiatives contributing to a sustainable national electric vehicle ecosystem.
