The Electric Vehicle Technologies Association held the first session of its “EV Knowledge Empowerment Series” on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, as part of the Association’s efforts to promote specialized knowledge, raise awareness of electric vehicle technologies, and enable students, engineers, and interested professionals to keep pace with developments in the sector. The session, titled “Discover the Future of Mobility... and Be Part of the Transition Toward a More Sustainable World,” was presented by Dr. Abdulaziz Dakhel Almutairi, Chairman and Founding Member of the Electric Vehicle Technologies Association and Associate Professor specializing in renewable energy and electric vehicle engineering. The session introduced electric vehicles and their different types, battery technologies and charging stations, and the role of electric vehicles in promoting sustainability and supporting the global transition toward more efficient transportation. It also highlighted key challenges and future opportunities related to electric vehicles and smart mobility. The session also addressed the drivers behind the global transition toward electric mobility, presented accessible information supported by figures and statistics, corrected common misconceptions about electric vehicles, and introduced participants to the future of smart mobility and the role of EVs in achieving sustainability. The first session attracted strong participation from engineers, academics, students, and other interested participants, with a total attendance of 55 participants from several cities across Saudi Arabia. This session marked the beginning of a series of educational and knowledge-focused events featuring experts and specialists, supporting the Association’s objectives of knowledge dissemination, awareness building, and national capability development in electric vehicles, energy, and sustainability.
