Biography
- Dr. Yasser Assolami is an academic and researcher in electrical power engineering. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada, and an MSc in Electrical Engineering from Ontario Tech University. He has served as an Assistant Professor at the College of Engineering, Taibah University, since 2021, with previous experience as a Planning Engineer at Saudi Electricity Company and as a researcher at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology. His research interests include electric vehicle demand modeling, EV charging impacts on distribution systems, voltage quality, transformer aging, energy storage systems, distributed energy resources, demand-side management, smart grids, and cyber-physical security of electrical energy infrastructure.
